Following God For the Family

3 Scriptures to Help Turn Your Uncertainty into Faith

When you feel lost, anxious, or just don't know how things will end, Gods word is a true comfort. These verses are perfect to tuck in your pocket, and in your heart to encourage you in such times! We cannot count how many times in the span of each of our lives we have been uncertain. Uncertain of how we’d pay our rent, uncertain of how we’d buy food, uncertain if we’d ever have a baby, and the list goes on and on.

Have you been there?

Uncertainty is something that no one is comfortable with. It is in our human nature to want to know exactly what’s around the corner. But as we know, life isn’t predictable. And as it turns out, that is a good thing.

Why?

Because it gives us a chance to build our faith. And as you and I know, without faith it is impossible to walk in God’s presence.

But how?

Through His Word. Today we want to share with you some of our favorite Bible verses that will help take you from focusing on what you don’t know and onto focusing on God’s promises to you. It has been our experience that when we begin to feel uncertain, we turn to memorizing God’s Word and our uncertainty quickly turns into faith.

3 Scriptures to Help Turn Your Uncertainty into Faith

James 1:2-4 KJV: 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Philippians 4:6-7 KJV: Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Matthew 6:31-34: 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

We encourage you to think back to a time of uncertainty in your life and reflect on how God turned your uncertainty into faith in Him and faith in His plan for your life. Share this story with someone you know; it could be the thing that they needed to hear!

Blessings,

The Kerchevals
