A Treasure for Your Family this Holiday Season

One of my very favorite family traditions is reading. It seems like that is silly to even mention, but in today’s world of technology and distractions at every turn, I fear reading with our children is in danger of becoming a lost art. I admit that even in our family there are times when I forget to sit down and ask the kids to come over to listen to a good story. As they get older it only becomes more difficult to set aside that time. But in our home we love a good story. One that draws you in not only with it’s compelling storyline, but also with it’s beautiful illustrations.

Looking for a way for your family to connect with more depth and meaning this holiday season? Gather around and listen because to this story...

As soon as I cracked the cover open of Good Night Tales I knew that it was going to be one of those treasures. Not only does Good Night Tales have a beautiful look, it takes you on beautiful adventures full of depth and meaning.

The book contains twelve different tales that are meant to correlate with a parable or story from the Bible. In the back of the book there are questions to bring out the meaning of each story, which I would highly recommend going through with your child the first time reading through the stories. I love how unique the stories are but my very favorite are the illustrations. There is something so heart-warming and captivating about the pictures that guide you along in the story. So much so, that at times, words are not even needed.

Good Night Tales would make a beautiful addition to any home. I feel as though these types of books are hard to come by. You don’t find them often and when you do, you know that you have a treasure on your hands, one you don’t mind leaving out on the coffee table for all to see.

From the publisher:

Good Night Tales leads your children through a vivid, beautiful, and imaginative adventure through Scriptural truths. This collection of Scripture-based stories brings a forest to life through animal kings, trolls, plum-loving giants, and fiddle-playing crickets. Stories include reimaginings of Israel asking for a new king, parables about searching for the kingdom of God, and Psalm 23. (NavPress)
