When You Just Need a Break {a summer club for moms}

Do you just need a break? Lots of us are desperate for room to breathe at this time of year... so we are teaming up to pause intentionally, together! Join us for 100 days of taking time to find calm in the chaos.

I’m not sure what is wrong with me lately but there are so many days that I just can’t seem to get it together. I have good intentions when I wake up. I am ready to make the most of the day, but before I know it the clock says 5pm, the laundry is piled high, the house is cluttered and my to-do list seems longer than it did when I first woke up.

As moms, a huge part of our stories are the lives that we pour into every single day at home. Sometimes it is hard. And exhausting. And chaotic trying to keep up with it all.

Now, more than ever, I need to press pause. Taking time to refresh and renew our soul is downright difficult. We need it though. We all need that time to step back. Take a breath. Spend time daily with Him. Press pause. Spending that much needed time with Jesus is the only way we will grow. And in all honesty, that is the fuel we need to get through our days.

Whether it is first thing in the morning at home, on your lunch break at work, or in the carpool line at school, just a few minutes each day can help you center your heart and mind on what God has for you as His beloved daughter.

This summer we are going to take some time to pause. Intentionally pause each day.  Starting Memorial Day through Labor Day every day we are going to press pause on our day and get alone with God to fuel ourselves and get refreshed so we can pour into our families.

I invite you to join us for 100 Days of Pressing Pause. We will be using the devotional by Karen Ehman and me, Pressing Pause: 100 Quiet Moments to Meet with Jesus. (aff. on Amazon)  or you can grab a copy at Barnes & Noble, ChristianBook.com, Target or Proverbs 31

One of the reasons Karen and I wrote this book is because it’s a book we really need! And all too often we don’t take that time that we desperately need. We don’t take the time to Press Pause.

How do you join??

Head over to 100 Days of Pressing Pause and click “like” to join us. There will be some more info there regarding the 100 Days, daily posts and prayers once the 100 days begins and Karen and I will be checking in often throughout the summer.  Also, don’t forget to grab a copy of the book if you don’t have one yet: Pressing Pause: 100 Quiet Moments to Meet with Jesus.

We are praying these 100 Days of Pressing Pause this summer will help you resist the rush, halt the hustle, and find some calm in the chaos.

Many Blessings,
